As regular readers of the Local Food Britain blog and our Stay Loyal to Local campaign will already be well aware, there has never been a more important time to support our independent and local food and drink businesses and producers.
Local Food Britain is based at Priory Farm in Surrey and so we were pleased to see this year’s Surrey Life Food & Drink Awards continue to push ahead, despite the obvious limitations on ceremony and celebration in 2020. We would like to congratulate all the winners and finalists.
Food and drink producers and businesses in Surrey and around Britain have done amazing things this year, and we couldn’t be prouder of the way the whole community has come together.
We wish you all best for the Christmas period and, hopefully, we’re not too far away now from life becoming at least a little more straight forward.
And the LFB winners and finalists were:
Best Farm Shop: Village Greens Farm Shop, Ockley (winner) plus Flower Farm Shop, Godstone and Secretts of Milford, Milford (both highly commended)
Food Producer of the Year: Bramble Farm Turkeys, West Horsley (winner)
