Historic Englefield Green Surrey boasts a number of places of interest, many of which are open to the public.

The Magna Carta was signed by King John at nearby Runnymede in 1215, and on a nice day it’s a joy to take a trip to the Magna Carta Memorial, erected by the American Bar Association. Near to this memorial is another – the Kennedy Memorial, erected in 1965.  Sitting on top of a hill, you need to climb 50 steps to reach it, and each step you take will signify one state of the USA.  Also well worth a visit is the Air Forces’ Memorial which recognises the bravery of the 20,000 plus men who died in the Second World Word and who have no grave. The wonderful town of Windsor, with the magnificent Windsor Castle, is just a short journey away from Englefield Green.
