Garsons of Titchfield is hosting its summer Food Fair on Saturday June 22 with the chance to sample artisan treats and meet some of the suppliers of local and regional produce.
Shoppers can expect to find everything from freshly-baked breads, cakes and pastries to real ales from local breweries.
There will be a chance to try gin-infused tea from new supplier to Garsons, Noveltea, and meet the makers behind this innovative drink.
Cottage Delight will once again be showcasing their vast selection of preserves, pickles, sauces and confectionary, and Gran Stead’s Ginger Company will be quenching thirsts with its delicious range of non-alcoholic grown up ginger drinks.
Barbecue season
On the barbecue will be award-winning Owton’s sausages and burgers, and over at the butchery counter, there will be a huge selection of home-made products, perfect for the barbecue season.
There’s a choice of 20 varieties of sausage, from the traditional pork to oriental duck, wild boar or curried lamb, and they also offer a children’s choice sausage with less seasoning and a softer texture. All of Owton’s beef burgers, meanwhile, are gluten free.
Event organiser and Garsons assistant manager Lauren Bennett says she is looking forward to welcoming foodies to Garsons on the day to discover some of the tasty treats available at the Farm Shop all year round.
"We're very proud of all the local food and drink we source from across Hampshire and neighbouring counties, and the Food Fair should provide lots of inspiration for summer entertaining and the chance to pick up some top tips from the makers themselves,” she says.
Garsons of Titchfield’s Food Fair is free and will be open from 11am to 4pm with plenty of parking. The garden centre will be bursting with summer gardening inspiration and the Terrace Restaurant will also be open throughout the day for home-cooked meals and refreshments.
