A talented chef with a background in rosette-quality gastro pubs and high-class independent hotels, Adam McLaren launched McLaren Fine Foods in Surrey with his partner Maria in March 2020.
The original aim was to deliver fresh produce and beautiful bakes directly to people’s homes during the pandemic, but the idea has proven so popular that the business has already expanded into so much more. And now they have a beautiful shop in Weybridge too.
At the heart of the business, McLaren Fine Foods’ scones, sweet treats and sandwiches are all expertly prepared and baked daily and delivered fresh within hours of leaving the oven.
From a luxurious G&Tea afternoon tea for two to a kids’ version, there are some deliciously indulgent options to choose from (including a gluten free version). They can even arrange for a vintage crockery set to be delivered alongside your afternoon treat.
Having started in West Byfleet, next door to the excellent London House restaurant, McLaren Fine Foods have now opened their own fine food and farm shop in Weybridge. They are also able to deliver fruit and veg boxes, meat hampers full of carefully selected British meats, Chalk Hills Bakery bread and quality deli items to addresses in the Surrey area.
McLaren Fine Foods also run West Byfleet farmers’ markets in Surrey, which features a number of fellow Local Food Britain members and is well worth a visit.
Local Food Surrey says
We're constantly impressed by the resourcefulness and creativity of people within the food and drink and hospitality industry, and McLaren Fine Foods is an excellent example of a talented chef finding a new approach during a difficult time.
With Adam's background and their meticulous approach to sourcing products and ingredients, we think it's only a matter of time before a McLaren Fine Food afternoon tea is the talk of the town. We wish them all the best with this new, exciting and growing food and drink business.
We promise that we will never, ever pass your details to anyone else or overwhelm you with emails – we send one a month, occasionally two (unless we have something really amazing that we think you will want to know about straightaway!).
And we will always make it really easy for you to unsubscribe – one click, straight from the email. We never want to lose our readers but we know how hugely irritating it is when the unsubscribe facility is made as difficult to use as possible..
