Ruth’s Little Kitchen is an award-winning micro bakery and cookery school run by expert teacher and baker Ruth Macintyre in the chocolate box pretty village of Brockham, Surrey.

All of Ruth’s freshly handmade loaves are made using stoneground and organic flour from Shipton Mill and sometimes other independent mills.

They are completely free of additives and preservatives, and delivered locally in the Brockham area of Surrey.

Recently, at the 2019 World Bread Awards, Ruth’s Little Kitchen received a top gold award for their beremeal and fig loaf in the real bread campaign category.

As well as making award-winning real bread, Ruth enjoys welcoming guests to workshops in her little kitchen including food styling courses, introductions to afternoon tea, pasta making and artisan bread showcases.

With a max of four students at a time, Ruth's Little Kitchen workshops include refreshments and home-made treats and some include a light lunch served in her shabby chic family home

A former Head of Food and Nutrition, Ruth also works out and about in local schools and community projects, and she is happy to discuss demonstrating all aspects of cookery at events.

Previous sessions have included healthy eating workshops in primary and secondary schools, working with those in supported living and running Cook Together groups on a monthly basis aimed at bringing people together.

Brockham is a beautiful quintessentially English village and it's wonderful to see a micobakery and cookery school thriving in such a picturesque Surrey setting.

With an ethos of cook, teach, share and eat, we can’t wait to watch Ruth’s Little Kitchen grow in 2020.
