There is nothing quite like freshly-made, high-quality patisserie – and that’s exactly what you’ll find with this particular Local Food Britain member.
Based in Worcester Park, SS Pattiserie produces a mouth-wateringly good range of pastry products – all homemade by Stephen Bradley from a cooking studio at the bottom of his garden.
A pastry chef for almost 25 years now, Stephen bakes everything from bread puddings, pasties and sausage rolls to fruit flans, chocolate éclairs and Frangipane cakes, so it’s no wonder he has such a devoted following in the area.
“We are particularly proud of our Surrey pasties, which are packed with leeks, potatoes, carrots and swedes, as well as our seasonal fruit pies,” says Stephen. “And that’s not to mention our foot-long cheese straws!”
Although they don’t have a shop, they are a regular at high-profile events, such as the food festivals at Hampton Court Palace, the Taste of Autumn Event at RHS Garden Wisley and the Surrey County Show in Guildford – and now they are looking forward to attending Local Food Britain’s own events. They can often be spotted at local farmers’ markets, too.
So, be sure to look out for them when you’re out about at any local food events and give their delicious pastries a try!
