Steyning is a pretty rural town in the Horsham District of West Sussex in the South Downs. The River Adur runs to the north. Steyning has a rich history dating back to the Saxons and Ethelwulf's tombstone can be viewed in the church porch - the two incised crosses indicate a royal burial.

There are lots of places to eat in Steyning, tearooms, restaurants, pubs and cafes. Nearby, in the beautiful village of Wiston, Wiston Granary is enjoying an exciting new chapter in the long history of this much-loved building – it's a delightful place to go for breakfast, lunch or some homemade cake and there is even a village store so you can pick up some delicious local food.
