Arundel is a pretty market town positioned between the South Downs National Park and the Sussex coast. The town is steeped in history and is home to the famous Arundel Castle, Arundel Cathedral, and Blackfriars historic buildings.

Arundel is home to a wealth of attractions including art galleries, antique shops, and a superb variety of eating places, including good food pubs and restaurants. The town also hosts a packed events calendar, high spots of which include the monthly Farmers Market, the annual Fairtrade Festival and the Arundel Food Festival. The food festival is a wonderful collaboration of local traders, food producers and farmers who come together to celebrate the abundance of locally produced food and drink including award-winning Sussex ales from Arundel Brewery.

People born in Arundel are known locally as Mullets, due to the presence of Mullet in the River Arun.
