The Garden of England boasts some of the best fruit orchards and farms in the country bringing together seasonal produce ranging from rhubarb in the spring, to strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and cherries in the summer, and apples and pumpkins in the autumn. Fruit is low in calories and fat and is a good source of simple sugars, fibre and vitamins, so it gives your diet a real health boost. Many of Kent’s farm shops sell fruit from their own fields or bought from nearby farms.
