Local Food Kent - Corrk is an English wine specialist in Canterbury, Kent. Every bottle of wine is selected from award-winning English vineyards by a local Master of Wine.
Where once English wine might have been considered an optimistic hobby, the country is now home to more than 700 vineyards producing 15 million bottles of wine per year – and many of these wines are winning international awards.
To celebrate the joy of English wine, Corkk’s Master of Wine (one of only 400 in the world), Clive Barlow, curates a selection of the best wines England has to offer every month.
These wines are then made available in Corkk’s online shop every month or as part of handy subscription packs, which are available in various case sizes.
Clive became a Master of Wine in 1999 and is also chair for the prestigious International Wine Challenge, senior judge for the Decanter Magazine competition, and teaches at the London Wine Academy.
Together, he and the Corkk team aim to shine a light on small independent winemakers while highlighting the very best of English wine.
The wines he selects are from English wine estates ranging in size from just a few acres to some of the nation’s household names, but all wines are made with estate grown fruit.
Corkk subscriptions range from £48 for a monthly still wine selection to a sparkling selection every six months for £95, so there are options for all wine lovers.
