Shepperton is a suburban village in the borough of Spelthorne midway between Chertsey and Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey. 

Shepperton is mentioned in the Domesday Book where it was a agricultural village. It was once home to a host of famous poets and writers in the early 19th Century including Haggard, Peacock, Meredith and Shelley. These days it is well known for the Shepperton Film Studios, where many of the world’s best loved films have been made.
