Book your table at La Barbe restaurant in Reigate and look forward to a treat.  This truly French restaurant (which enjoys top ranking on Trip Advisor) has been serving fine, classical and provincial cuisine for 32 years and fully deserves its loyal, appreciative following - and outstanding reputation.

From the moment you arrive at La Barbe, which is situated in the centre of the lovely market town of Reigate, you feel like you are arriving in France.  From the genuinely French welcome "Bonjour!" to the trinkets and the pictures and etchings on the walls - you may as well be in Provence!

A menu that changes with the seasons

The menu never fails to delight. It changes with the seasons and takes its inspiration from classic and regional French cuisine.  From traditional "Escargots de Bourgogne" (snails cooked in garlic butter), Baby Squid filled with Hake and Red Pepper Mousse, a comforting Roasted Guinea Fowl breast served with a creamy truffle sauce to the freshest of fish, there is something to please all palates - including vegetarians.  Desserts are served with a flourish and well worth leaving room for!  Expect delights such as Ginger and Pear Crème Brûlée and Bread and Butter Pudding with Dark Chocolate Ganache and Rum Jelly. Mmmm!

The wine list includes organic wines and biodynamic wines

Restaurant owner Serge Tassi is a man who knows his wines, and this is evident from the wine list which includes some great French vintages as well as organic and biodynamic wines. Advice is given in a friendly, unpretentious manner and many wines are available by the glass.  House wine - personally selected by Serge - is a very affordable £18.00 per bottle and £3.50 per glass.

Local Food Surrey says

La Barbe - c'est magnifique! We really love it here - Angela (who isn't keen on fish normally) has never stopped talking about the wonderful salmon dish she enjoyed on a recent visit.  This place is really special and has a very strong local following that it thoroughly deserves.  Go on, treat yourself to a trip to Surrey's slice of France.
