One of London’s most cosmopolitan districts due to its high number of hotels and visitors from abroad, Bayswater is an area within the city of Westminster and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea in central London. Based near to the shopping heartland of Oxford Street east of Marble Arch, and bordering the north end of Hyde Park, Bayswater is made up of many attractive Victorian buildings.

With a rich history that saw the area belong to the Abbey of Westminster at the time when The Domesday Book was compiled, Bayswater has since been inhabited by famous residents such as Winston Churchill, JM Barrie (the author of Peter Pan) and Sting. It is now also home large Arab, Greek and Brazilian communities, lending the area a very vibrant feel.
