Organised by the Guild of Fine Food, the Great Taste Awards are known as the ‘Oscars’ of the food world and the ‘epicurean equivalent of the Booker prize’. A number of Local Food Britain member producers won stars this year.

The pandemic has forced independent businesses to constantly think outside the box and for New Malden’s Durban Street Food this has meant switching from supplying frozen ready meals to South African stores across London to taking over their local fish and chip shop and giving it a twist.
