As champions of independent breweries and all things beer, Hop Stop Beers have managed to keep the beer flowing from their Oxted shop and Reigate bar this year despite lockdowns.

Organised by the Guild of Fine Food, the Great Taste Awards are known as the ‘Oscars’ of the food world and the ‘epicurean equivalent of the Booker prize’. A number of Local Food Britain member producers won stars this year.

Based on the Sussex and Hampshire border in Rogate, Rother Valley Farm were hit hard by lockdown as they were unable to supply pubs, restaurants, schools, universities and other businesses with their free-range, ethically reared meat. Rather than panic, they launched a weekly Farm Gate Market and brought customers to them. Here we catch up with them for our Stay Loyal to Local campaign.
