When is the festival?
Saturday September 14, 10am to 5pm
Where is it?
Priory Farm's The Lambing Barn field, Sandy Lane, South Nutfield, near Redhill, Surrey RH1 4EJ
What's the cost?
Entry is £3 per person (free for children aged under 12) which includes an optional 50p donation going to Macmillan Cancer Support.
Where do I pay that?
On arrival at the gate, where you can also claim free tickets to our expert food and drink talks on a first come, first served basis. It is recommended to book tickets to The Salt Box's family workshops in advance.
Which charity?
Money raised will be going to Macmillan Cancer Support. Preserves with Passion 2019 will also be making a contribution to the charity.
How do I get there?
From the A25 at Nutfield, which is just off the M25 in between Redhill and Godstone in Surrey, look out for the brown information signs indicating the turn off to Priory Farm. The Lambing Barn field is found just along the road from Priory Farm Shop and will be signed on the day. There is plenty of free parking on the festival site.
What if I'm not driving? Public transport?
It's possible to get a taxi or one of the half-hourly buses from Redhill Bus Station (10 minute journey), which is located right next to Redhill Train Station and its mainline connections. You'll need to get off at the Nutfield Memorial Hall bus stop if choosing that option, which is then a 10/15 minute walk to the festival site. Nutfield Train Station is a 20 minute walk from Priory Farm and Oxted Train Station is a 30 minute bus ride away.
If you feel ambitious and want to stretch your legs, Priory Farm is moments from The Greensand Way walking route.
What should I wear?
The Countryside Food Festival is taking place outdoors, so please come prepared for the best that the British weather can offer. Also, make sure to bring a picnic blanket - find a spot on the festival site and settle down for the day with friends and family.
Can I bring my children?
We feel that food and drink education is a huge part of a happy and healthy childhood, so well-behaved children are more than welcome under adult supervision. There's plenty for them to explore and under 12s are free.
How about my dog?
Well behaved dogs on short leads are allowed at this year's Countryside Food Festival.
What about a picnic?
While we fully encourage the bringing of picnic blankets, only food purchased at the event can be eaten on site.
Will there be anything to eat and drink on site?
It's a food festival! As well as tastings with our stallholders, we will have street food vendors and drinks suppliers. So you can buy items to take away but also enjoy a full day of food and drink at the festival. You can also visit the excellent Priory Farm Shop afterwards to top up your supplies.
Can I book the talks?
Spaces for our meet the expert talks will be available on a first come, first served basis.
How do I enter Preserves with Passion?
If you're a talented jam, jelly or chutney maker, then all the information you need to enter is here.
