Real luxury dairy ice cream is made at Downsview Farm, a family owned and run business. The rich, creamy milk is produced by a herd of 150 dairy cows (Friesian, Shorthorn and Jersey), all grazing on Sussex pasture during the spring and summer months.
Downsview Farm products:
Fresh, non-homogenised milk, whole and semi-skimmed. The milk is pasteurised on the farm. The whole process, from cow to container, takes less than 24 hours. That really is FRESH milk! And because the milk is non-homogenised, the cream in the whole milk, rises to the top of the container, just like it used to.
Real dairy ice cream, using local ingredients and no added artificial colours or preservatives. The range includes approximately 200 different flavours. Great for those retailers and caterers who wish to offer something unique.
Fresh double cream made from fully pasteurised milk.
Sorbets using fresh, local fruit to give fantastic flavour and a really smooth texture.
Product samples are available for potential retailers, stockists and caterers and Downsview will deliver locally.
For consumers who would like to buy Downsview products, please visit their website for a map showing local stockists and eateries, or contact the farm and arrange to collect direct from the dairy.
Local Food Sussex Says
What a fantastic selection of ice cream flavours! Check out the blog on the website and see the Christmas ones. All sound simply scrummy. And so good to see the cows are all so well cared for and managed. No wonder they produce such a first class product. Why not call in at The Cat Inn to sample some?

And we will always make it really easy for you to unsubscribe – one click, straight from the email. We never want to lose our readers but we know how hugely irritating it is when the unsubscribe facility is made as difficult to use as possible..
