Bluebell Vineyard Estates is nestled in the hamlet of Furners Green, near the famous Bluebell Railway and historic Sheffield Park. The multi-award winning vineyard and winery, established in 2005, specialises in the production of English sparkling wines using classic champagne grape varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier as well as Seyval Blanc.
Bluebell's sparkling wines are hand-crafted using the méthode traditionelle. With a focus on quality and a philosophy to 'let the fruit do the talking' Bluebell Vineyard strives to produce wines that evoke the flavours and aromas of England. The estate has achieved over 35 national and international awards since their first release in 2007.
The vineyard is open six days a week to the public (Mon-Sat 10am-4pm). Visitors are free to explore the estate and woodlands and even bring a picnic. The Tasting Room and Shop offer tastings for £5 per head.
Private guided tours of the vineyard and winery are offered to groups of four or more (must be booked in advance), priced at £16 per head including a glass of Sparkling Wine on arrival and tastings of all current releases.
With a beautiful marquee that holds over 120 guests and spectacular views of the vineyard, Bluebell Vineyard is an idyllic setting for a wedding reception.
Local Food Britain says
Only the top wines are made using méthod traditionelle, wines that are hand-crafted at every stage and with minimal use of chemicals and herbicides.
Led by one of the UK’s best known winemakers, Kevin Sutherland, means Bluebell Vineyard's wines are amongst England’s finest.
