Bartie's Boxing Day Piccalilli hits the shelves in time for Christmas

Local Food Britain member Bartie's Sussex Faire has launched its highly anticipated Boxing Day Piccalilli and is selling at markets in Surrey and Sussex throughout November and December. The piccalilli, made using the award-winning recipe by Angela West from the Preserves with Passion competition at the recent Fine Food & Drink Festival at Guildford's G-Live, will also raise much needed funds for children's charity Challengers.

If you're looking for a tasty preserve to tickle the taste buds and jazz up the cold meat buffet over Christmas, look no further than Bartie's Boxing Day Piccalilli. The newly launched preserve, which has just arrived in the Local Food Britain office, has been made with vegetables from Angela West's Derrys Field allotment in Woking as a limited edition product. And to make the purchase even more palatable, 50p from every jar sold will be donated to Challengers, which provides play and leisure schemes for disabled children across Surrey, Hampshire and the surrounding areas.

Local Food Britain member Bartie's Sussex Faire has produced a thoroughly joint effort with its Boxing Day Piccalilli. Recreated, packaged and sold as one of the artisan brand's products, the limited edition piccalilli has been made using the recipe and ingredients of keen preserve maker, Angela West, who won the opportunity at the recent Preserves with Passion competition at Guildford G-Live's Fine Food & Drink Festival in September. As it is the season of goodwill, 50p from every jar sold will be donated to local children's charity, Challengers.
