Speciality coffee roaster Chimney Fire Coffee was founded by Dan Webber in Kingston upon Thames, and moved to the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 2017.
Having worked in sustainable coffee sourcing in Africa, it inspired Chimney Fire Coffee to look for distinctive flavour profiles in their single-origin coffees and source direct from producers whenever possible to ensure provenance and transparency.
Back at their Ranmore Common roastery, their speciality coffees are hand-roasted and they now offer a range of single-origins and espresso blends to local retailers and online subscribers looking for their caffeine fix.
These high-grade, locally-roasted coffees have proved very popular, and the team also works hard to promote an understanding and appreciation for the production environment and the producers - a 'win-win' for everyone, they believe.
Such has been their success that they will be appearing on Top of the Shop, a new television series on BBC Two, with two-Michelin starred chef Tom Kerridge in May 2018.
If you would like to learn more about what makes Chimney Fire Coffee tick, they regularly hold open days in their Surrey Hills roasting space, where coffee enthusiasts, baristas and retailers can visit to sample their seasonal range of coffees.
They also offer corporate coffee experiences, ranging from cupping (coffee tasting) to espresso martini making workshops, at offices, restaurants, bars or cafés.
Local Food Surrey says
These local coffee connoisseurs tapped into an important new trend with their artisan business when it was first launched and they haven't rested on their laurels since.
Launched in 2016, Chimney Fire Coffee has already scaled up from a cabin in a Kingston garden to a countryside roastery in the Surrey Hills - and we can't wait to see what comes next!
