  2. Each entrant may submit up to TWO preserves.
  3. Preserves should be brought to the Local Food Britain Countryside Food Festival on Saturday 14 September between 10am and midday. However, no entries will be accepted on the day unless they have been pre-registered.

  5. All preserves must be ambient (ie not require refrigeration) and presented in a glass container, ideally with a wax seal.
  6. There will be a prize in both the categories and an overall winner whose preserve will be produced as a limited edition range by Bartie’s Sussex Faire.
  7. Winners will not receive income for the use of their recipe or the sale of the preserve, however, a donation from each sale will be made to Macmillan Cancer Support.
  8. All recipes must be original, not taken from any other source and with no breach of copyright.
  9. The competition is open to all home cooks but not to professional chefs or commercial businesses.
  10. Each entry must be clearly labelled with the product name and full list of ingredients. Do not include your name or any contact details – the general public and panel of judges will be conducting a blind tasting and when you bring you entry in on 14 September we will allocate it a number for identification purposes.
  11. The product must be made by the entrant.
  12. By entering the competition, you are agreeing to partake in publicity and Local Food Britain reserves the right to publish winning recipes and methods. For minors, publicity will be at the discretion of their parent/guardian.
