This popular old roadside inn oozes charm. It is well known for serving good food, and a cosy bar buzzes with people enjoying their pint of local ale or glass of wine. It's smart and friendly, with its atmospheric black wood ceiling beams, striking wall timbers and glowing winter fires; the lovely beer garden is a great place to enjoy a pint and a meal while enjoying the pleasant country outlook.

Locally-sourced ingredients are a focal point on the menu, which offers both classic and modern dishes, and seafood a speciality. Blackboard specials like pan-fried fillet of rainbow trout with curly kale and roasted garlic sauce complement a main menu that's guaranteed to please every member of the party, from roasted shellfish platter to moules marinère to Cumberland sausage with creamed mash and onion gravy.

Private dining is available so The Dog and Pheasant is a superb venue for a business meal, party or celebration and its location at Brook is well placed for those travelling from nearby Godalming and Guildford.

Local Food Says

With its old world charm, The Dog and Pheasant is a real find. They very much embrace the local food scene and their Haslemere30 menu(to celebrate the newly-established food event) has met with huge enthusiasm. Well done to them, we say!
