Albury Vineyard is celebrating after its Silent Pool Rosé scooped a Gold medal at the English and Welsh Wine of the Year competition.

This makes Silent Pool Rosé one of only three still rosé wines to be awarded Gold, as well as being the only wine from Surrey to receive the accolade. Just 18 wines were awarded Gold out of 327 entries, so we think they deserve a pat on the back! Albury Estate Premier Cuvée, the vineyard's first sparkling wine, was also awarded a Silver medal, which vineyard owner Nick Wenman describes as a 'fantastic achievement for our first bubbly'.

The English and Welsh Wine of the Year competition is blind-judged by a panel of well-respected experts including Anthony Foster MW, David Bird MW, Dee Blackstock MW, Robin Crameri MW, Sally Easton MW and Rebecca Hull MW.
